STILL FAMILY FARM PARTNERS WITH
TIMBERNOOK OF WEST GEORGIA
POWDER SPRINGS (Monday, July 22, 2019) – Still Family Farm, LLC and TimberNook of West Georgia are pleased to announce their new partnership to bring even more outdoor activities and experiences to the community. Still Family Farm is located on nearly 150 acres on Macland Road in West Cobb County, Ga., and they open their gates to the public in the fall with an event featuring hay rides, a pumpkin patch, a 5-acre maze, and more family fun activities. TimberNook of West Georgia will begin operations at the Farm beginning August 1, 2019.
TimberNook of West Georgia is owned and operated by Christa Thomas, a teacher who specializes in child development. It is designed to encourage sensory-rich experiences for children in a natural outdoor setting that inspires, restores, and challenges the mind and the body. TimberNook is designed around "classrooms in the woods" with walking trails and forests to explore, complete with climbing ropes, a tire swing, and a fire pit.
Leslie Still Oubre, President of Still Family Farm says, “The Farm desires to promote year-round outdoor play and experiences because people learn and grow so much by being in nature. Partnering with TimberNook is an organic progression of that goal. Once we started talking and quickly realized how closely our missions align, it was an automatic connection on a business and personal level.”
Thomas agrees. “I’ve always been a big advocate of outdoor play and TimberNook has been the perfect way to promote that. Still Family Farm offers so many beautiful and diverse environments for learning and playing! With this new partnership, we can expand our current program offerings as well as provide unique opportunities for the whole family to truly connect with nature. After our very first meeting at the farm, I knew this was going to be the most natural transition. It just felt right. I am so grateful for the Still family.”
TimberNook of West Georgia has been operating for the past few years on a portion of land at West Cobb Church.
The land upon which Still Family Farm operates has been in the same family for nine generations. Still Family Farm was established to present opportunities for local residents to create lasting memories by connecting them to each other through the surroundings, the land, and the area’s history.
